I LOOOVE music, totally music obsessed… everything from old skool 80′s to today’s Alternative, Rock, and more. Pretty much everywhere I go I have my ipod or shuffle with me in my purse, (aka the bottomless pit) however the earphones would always get tangled up and it’d take me forever to untangle the mess.
Now, with my chicbuds and the retractable cord, its super simple to listen to my music without the hassle and mess in my purse. The chicbuds actually come with a cute metal case and I just toss the buds along with my shuffle in there and throw it all in my purse now. ~simple~

So, the other day I was at the grocery store wearing one of my super cool geek watches from Normal Watches. Anyways, this lady was right next to me in line staring at my watch. So, she said “No thanks, I don’t need the time but I was trying to figure out what your watch says.” Here I am… in line at the grocery store… with about 5 people staring at me waiting for my response to this sweet older woman whose curiosity was now making me blush a bit because of course the one I had to be wearing on that particular day was the ‘OMFG’ watch!
I stated to her politely that it reads O.M.F.G. She then asks, “well what does this mean??” I could tell she was a little irrational not understanding and the people around her were starting to giggle a bit so I stated that it just means, “Oh my fregging goodness” (I could not think of a nicer or better way to state the meaning… after all it can have different meanings right??) and then it happened… she kinda loses it. “MY grandkids sit around all frekkin day texting to one another and I swear they must use that phrase 101 times, I can’t believe it!! And NOW I know… ahahahahaha… won’t they be surprised!”
The people in line at the grocery store could not contain themselves in their laughter anymore and let out roars as this sweet woman cackled in seeming victory as though she finally felt she’d been granted one of life’s golden meanings. It was a very funny moment and something I am sure not many people will forget (nor will her grandkids I think!) Either way, it definitely gave me a big ole giggle, all thanks to my super wicked geek watch!
Ahh… I remember the day I left for college. It was one of the most exciting, terrifyingly anxious days of my life!
Both my sister and I went to the same school and it was only about a 5 hour drive from home, but that was a really, really long drive home just to do laundry and have a decent meal.
